How to prepare and ship a part for coating
What to remove, how to pack, and what to write on the note inside the box.
Ask for a quote first
Before you pack anything, send us photos and tell us the part, the car or engine and what you want to achieve. You get a price, a timeline and the shipping address.
Remove what should not be coated
Take off everything that is not part of the metal body of the part:
- Oxygen sensors, temperature sensors and their fittings
- Gaskets and heat shields
- On turbos, everything except the turbine housing
Clean it if you can
Oil and loose dirt make blasting slower. The part does not need to look new: we clean and blast it to bare metal anyway.
Pack it so it cannot move
Wrap flanges and threads, put the part in a sturdy box and fill the empty space. Wrap several parts separately so they cannot rub against each other.
Put a note inside
Write your name, phone number and what you want coated on a sheet of paper and put it in the box. Then ship the parcel with any courier and send us the tracking number.
