Thermal coatings for motorsport: drift, rally and circuit

In motorsport the engine runs at full load for a whole session, with little airflow between runs. Coating the hot parts keeps the heat where it belongs, session after session.

Priced per part. Send photos and you get a price before you ship anything.

What racers coat

What is worth coating depends on the discipline:

  • Drift: manifolds, turbo housings and downpipes, against heat soak between runs
  • Rally: manifolds, turbos and brake parts, for long stages and heat trapped under skid plates
  • Circuit: manifolds, headers and brake shims, for sustained load lap after lap

Plan around your calendar

Send parts between events, not the week before. Tell us your race date when you ask for a quote, and we tell you whether the timeline works.

What the coating does

  • Lower engine bay temperatures in long sessions
  • Protection for wiring, hoses and sensors near the exhaust
  • Cooler intake air on turbocharged engines
  • Less heat into the brake fluid

Questions

Can you coat the parts for a whole car, or several cars?

Yes. Send a list of the parts with photos, and we quote the batch together, with a timeline that fits your race calendar.

Sending a part by courier

Most parts reach us by courier. It takes three steps.

  1. Send photos and details

Use the form or WhatsApp. Tell us the part, the car or engine, and anything we should know, such as cracks or earlier repairs.

  2. Pack and ship the part

Once you accept the quote, remove sensors, gaskets and heat shields, pack the part well and ship it with any courier.

  3. Get it back coated

We coat the part and send it back to you, or you pick it up in Riga.

Shipping address

We send the shipping address together with your quote.

Packing tips

  • Wrap flanges and threads so they cannot be damaged in transit.
  • Use a sturdy box and fill the empty space so the part cannot move.
  • Put a note inside with your name, phone number and what you want coated.
  • Exhaust manifold

Cast manifolds and tubular headers: the hottest part of the exhaust and the best place to start.

  • Turbo housing

The turbine housing is a heat source right next to your intake. Coating it cuts heat soak.

  • Downpipe

The pipe right after the turbo, often routed past the gearbox, driveshaft and floor.

  • Brake pads and shims

A heat barrier between the pad and the caliper that keeps brake fluid cooler.
