A turbine housing runs as hot as the manifold and sits next to the compressor, the intake pipes and the intercooler piping. Coating it reduces heat soak under the bonnet and helps keep exhaust energy in the gas that drives the turbine.

Why coat the turbo
Turbocharged engines are sensitive to intake air temperature. Heat radiating from the turbine housing warms the compressor side, the intake pipes and the air around them. A lower surface temperature on the housing means less heat soak, especially in traffic or between runs.
Keeping heat inside the housing also keeps exhaust energy in the gas that drives the turbine, which is why coated manifolds and turbine housings are common in motorsport.
What we coat
We coat the outside of the turbine housing, the hot side of the turbo. Send the turbine housing on its own, separated from the rest of the turbo, or ask us before you take a turbo apart.

Questions
Do I need to take the turbo apart?
Yes, the turbine housing should come off the turbo. That protects the bearings and the wheels, and lets us blast and coat the housing properly.
Will coating change how the turbo fits?
No. The layer is about 0.3 mm thick and mating faces are masked, so the housing bolts back on as before.

Once you accept the quote, remove sensors, gaskets and heat shields, pack the part well and ship it with any courier.

We coat the part and send it back to you, or you pick it up in Riga.

Packing tips
- Wrap flanges and threads so they cannot be damaged in transit.
- Use a sturdy box and fill the empty space so the part cannot move.
- Put a note inside with your name, phone number and what you want coated.
