Hard braking turns speed into heat at the pad. Some of that heat flows through the backing plate into the caliper pistons and the brake fluid. A ceramic layer on the backing plate or the shim slows that flow down.

Why coat brake parts
When brake fluid overheats, the pedal goes soft. A coating on the pad backing plate or the shim reduces the heat that reaches the caliper. That helps on track days, on rally stages and on long downhill runs.

We coat pad backing plates and separate shims. The friction material is never coated. Tell us the pad model and how the car is used.

Does the coating change how the brakes work?
It does not touch the friction surface. It only reduces how much heat moves from the pad into the caliper.
Sending a part by courier
Most parts reach us by courier. It takes three steps.

Use the form or WhatsApp. Tell us the part, the car or engine, and anything we should know, such as cracks or earlier repairs.
Pack and ship the part
Once you accept the quote, remove sensors, gaskets and heat shields, pack the part well and ship it with any courier.
Get it back coated
We coat the part and send it back to you, or you pick it up in Riga.

Packing tips
- Wrap flanges and threads so they cannot be damaged in transit.
- Use a sturdy box and fill the empty space so the part cannot move.
- Put a note inside with your name, phone number and what you want coated.
