An intake manifold picks up heat from the cylinder head, the exhaust and the hot air around it, and passes it on to the air on its way into the engine. A thermal coating slows that transfer down.

Why coat an intake
Cooler intake air is denser, which is why heat soak costs power. Coating an intake manifold or plenum limits how much heat it absorbs from the engine bay. It helps most in slow traffic, between runs and on hot days.
Materials and fittings
Most intake manifolds are aluminium. Send photos so we can check the material, the shape and any fittings, injector bosses or sensor ports that need masking.

Should I coat the intake or the exhaust first?
The exhaust side. It is the heat source, and coating it lowers the temperature of everything nearby, including the intake. Coating the intake as well adds to the effect.

Once you accept the quote, remove sensors, gaskets and heat shields, pack the part well and ship it with any courier.
Get it back coated
We coat the part and send it back to you, or you pick it up in Riga.

Packing tips
- Wrap flanges and threads so they cannot be damaged in transit.
- Use a sturdy box and fill the empty space so the part cannot move.
- Put a note inside with your name, phone number and what you want coated.
