Why coat an exhaust
An exhaust manifold can glow red on a dyno or after a hard stage. That heat radiates into wiring, hoses, the intake and the bodywork. A ceramic coating lowers the surface temperature by about 30% at 0.3 mm, so everything around the exhaust runs cooler.
The coating also protects the metal. Bare steel and cast iron oxidise and rust from heat cycles and moisture; a ceramic surface resists both far better.
Not the same as ceramic coating for paint
Search for "ceramic coating" and you mostly find paint protection for car bodywork: a thin, glass-like layer for gloss. Exhaust coating is a different product, a heat barrier sprayed onto metal parts that run at several hundred degrees.
Fit and finish
The part fits as before: the layer is about 0.3 mm thick, and sealing faces and threads are masked before coating. The surface has a matte ceramic finish.

Packing tips
- Wrap flanges and threads so they cannot be damaged in transit.
- Use a sturdy box and fill the empty space so the part cannot move.
- Put a note inside with your name, phone number and what you want coated.
